On 29th January 2010, Volunteering Ashford's Well-Being at Home and Care Navigator services held a social event for their service users and volunteers. The occasion was not without its ups and downs, but overall it was a resounding success.
Entertainment was provided at the last minute by super-crooner Peter Sinclair, after the previously booked entertainers cancelled at short notice. Peter proved a big hit with the ladies, singing classics such as "Come Fly With Me" and "That's Amore!" amidst claps and cheers (and of course, his famous high kicks!)

There was a fabulous spread of buffet food and refreshments and everyone seemed to have a lovely time.
The event concluded with a complimentary raffle, and with more than 30 prizes up for grabs, the guests were well and truly spoilt.
Volunteering Ashford would like to thank raffle prize donors:
Marks & Spencer's
Tesco
Cineworld Ashford
Sainsburys
Special thanks is also expressed to Cllr George Koowaree, KCC, for event funding.
